This delicious recipe for matcha energy balls was provided courtesy of the legend Joshua Armitage from Two Six Wellness. We love these for a mid-afternoon pick me up or pre-pilates workout.
9 grams of Matcha Wednesday matcha powder
143 grams of Almonds
101 grams of Hazelnuts
22 ml of Coconut Oil
147 grams of Pitted Dates
20 grams of Unsweetened Coconut Flakes
2 grams of Sea salt.
Add the almonds, hazelnuts, matcha powder, coconut oil, dates, coconut flakes and sea salt to a food processor and blend until well mixed and sticky.
Transfer to a medium-size mixing bowl.
Form into even balls with your hands, roughly 1-inch in diameter.
Dust with more matcha powder if desired.
Store in the fridge or freezer until ready to enjoy.
Notes:
Refrigerate the matcha energy balls in an airtight container for up to seven days or in the freezer for three months.
No hazelnuts? Replace with more almonds instead.
